London Marathon 2019
Sunday, April 28, 2019 @ 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
Once again we have someone running in the London Marathon 2019 in aid of the two UK Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) including Burning Nights CRPS Support charity!
On Sunday 28th April 2019 Katie Walsh will be undertaking the gruelling 26.1 mile London Marathon 2019. We certainly wish her all the very best with her training and the actual London Marathon 2019!
Katie has chosen to run the London Marathon 2019 to support her sister, Rachel who has lived with Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) for the last six years.
As Katie says in her story on her London Marathon 2019 fundraising page:
Katie Walsh – London Marathon 2019 fundraising page
Six years ago my sister Rachel was a serving Police Officer in Surrey who was badly assaulted on duty. Several failed operations later to try and fix her wrist, Rachel’s life changed forever….
I have watched my sister, a confident young girl desperate to be a police Officer change forever. Rachel was only 23 when it happened, a period of our lives that should be carefree and fun. Rachel is one of the bravest people I know.
Please show your support for Katie either by making a small donation to her London Marathon 2019 fundraiser or by even going along to the London Marathon on 28th April 2019 and watching Katie at a stage during her 26.1 mile run.
