Online CRPS Support Group (December 2021) Join Burning Nights CRPS Support for our next online complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS) support group on Wednesday 8th December 2021. Our online support groups are for anyone affected by CRPS such as patients, relatives, friends, partners or carers. These take place once a month. Our next online CRPS support group is being held on Wednesday 8th December 2021 starting at 2:00 pm GMT (UK Time). How To Join Our Online CRPS Support Group As usual, we will be holding our online CRPS support group using Zoom video conferencing. Please register in advance for our online CRPS Support group via the REGISTRATION link OR click on the blue button below. After registering via the link, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the support group. Please also check your spam/junk folder as well as your inbox for this confirmation of registration email to enable you to join the group on Wednesday 8th December 2021. You can also download the Zoom app on your phone or tablet. The Zoom app is available for both iOS and Android. You may receive a computer safety notice when you download Zoom. The Burning Nights CRPS Support 7th Annual National CRPS Conference is announced for 2021! The Burning Nights CRPS Support annual CRPS conference is aimed at patients living with complex regional pain syndrome, their families and friends to help give them support and to help their understanding of the condition, treatment options and more. The 7th annual CRPS conference is mainly for CRPS patients, their families and friends to help support them and to help their understanding of the condition, treatment options and more. The conference is also available to health professionals and healthcare students. This year our CRPS conference is being held on SUNDAY 21 NOVEMBER 2021 and will be at the DoubleTree Hilton Chester. If, due to Coronavirus restrictions we are unable to hold it at the hotel then we will move the conference back online. DETAILS DATE: 21.11.2021 Sunday 21st November 2021 TIME: 9.30am - 4.30pm We start at 9.30am and finish around 4.00pm / 4.30pm. However you are able to come and go as you wish. COST: FREE for CRPS patients and their families* Lunch and refreshments will be included free of charge. *For professionals we ask for a donation of £50 per person which will include lunch and refreshments WHERE: DoubleTree Hilton Chester, Warrington Rd, Hoole, Chester CH2 3PD LUNCH & REFRESHMENTS:  Both lunch (sandwiches including vegetarian option, salad bar and fries) and refreshments are FREE (for CRPS patients and their families) for you during the day's event. (For professionals the £50 charge will include lunch and refreshments) THE HOTEL: The DoubleTree Hilton Chester is deemed a disabled friendly hotel. The conferencing area has a flat entrance leading from the main hotel reception. The area has a mixture of carpet and tiles. This is a flat area which is suitable for wheelchairs and scooters. There are accessible toilet facilities in the hotel and also in the conference area. The hotel is easily accessible from the M53 Junction 12 motorway. The closest train station is Chester which is a few miles from the hotel by taxi or car. The nearest airport is Liverpool John Lennon (9 miles) and Manchester PARKING: There are parking spaces available at the hotel and this includes a limited number of Blue Badge spaces. There are obviously not a large number of these places available. We have also managed to get parking included for the event. SPEAKERS As soon as our speakers are confirmed we will include their details below. Our speakers will always have working knowledge of Complex Regional Pain Syndrome, living with CRPS or disability due to CRPS. Barrister Pankaj Madan - 'CRPS and Legal Claims; the role of the Barrister' Pankaj was educated at Leeds Grammar School and Magdalene College, Cambridge where he read Law before attending Bar School in London. He was called to the Bar in 1997 by Middle Temple. He was a Harmsworth and Astbury Scholar.  He is a full member of both 12 King’s Bench Walk, London and Exchange Chambers in the North.  He specialises in Catastrophic and Life-Changing Injury with specialist expertise in Catastrophic and Subtle Brain Injury , severe limb injury, high-value Pain and Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) claims and Clinical Negligence. He acts for both Claimants and Insurers, usually only in very high value cases often involving pedestrians or motorcyclists or severe falls at work. He is adept at liability issues. He is from a medical family and has an excellent understanding of medical issues. In fact he is the first legal member to sit on the Pain Section Committee at the Royal Society of Medicine. He is renowned for his meticulous eye for detail and sensitive, sympathetic client approach, The Legal 500 has said the following – ‘A first rate lawyer with IT and technology skills second to none. Young Person's Online CRPS Support Group (November 2021) Are you under 18 years of age and have been diagnosed with Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS)? Join Burning Nights CRPS Support for our online young person's CRPS support group on Thursday 18 November 2021 at 4.30 pm. Living with CRPS when you're a young person can be very difficult and can be at times frightening. You may have lots of questions not only about your condition but also about how you're going to cope with school or college, or how you're going to make new friends when you have a chronic illness. Being able to chat with other young people your age may answer some of your questions you may have. Who Is This Young Person's Online Support Group For? This online support group is for those UNDER 18 years of age and who have Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS.) If you are under 14 years of age you will need to have a parent or guardian will you at the start of the online support group to agree that you are able to join the group. Once we have confirmation at the start, we are happy for you to ask them to leave the group so you are able to talk. If you are over 18, we ask that you join our regular monthly online CRPS support group which are advertised in our Support Group events section.
