This research project is being run by Kiera Knowles, a Health Psychology Masters Student at Liverpool John Moores University. It will be examining opioid information, and opioid decision making in people living with CRPS.

Since April 2021, guidelines around opioid use changed, but how are individuals with CRPS navigating and understanding the information? And are they able to make fully informed decisions about their opioid use?

This research will involve a few short questions about health literacy, and then an approximately 1-hour interview. In this interview we will chat about your experiences of living with CRPS, your experiences of opioid taking, and how you access, understand or use different forms of information about opioids, and how this supports any decisions you make around opioid use.

Who can participate?

  • UK residents
  • Aged over 18
  • Fluent in English
  • Have a diagnosis of Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS)
  • Have accessed opioid information since April 2021
