CRPS Patient and Carer Information Day 2023

Burning Nights’ Annual National CRPS Conference is now the CRPS Patient and Carer Information Day, and it’s happening this November!

For 8 years, during CRPS Awareness Month in November, Burning Nights CRPS Support has held its free Annual National Conference to bring together Team Burning Nights and the CRPS community, allowing patients, loved ones, caregivers, healthcare professionals and legal experts the opportunity to meet, network and learn more about the debilitating condition and how we can manage it.

This year, for the conference’s 9th birthday, we’re making some changes to the format and taking it back to its roots!

On 5th November 2023, Burning Nights CRPS Support will host its 9th Annual National Conference, now the CRPS Patient and Carer Information Day, at DoubleTree by Hilton in Nottingham.

This year’s event will be split into two halves, hosting fewer guest speakers to allow for more casual conversations and networking amongst attendees, returning the event to its origins – a large-scale, in-person support group with a focus on the chance to communicate with our CRPS community.

The morning will feature guest speakers and healthcare professionals hosting talks on living with and managing Complex Regional Pain Syndrome, while the afternoon will be an open forum for patients, loved ones and carers, inviting you to ask questions and network with others whose lives have been touched by CRPS.

As in previous years, there will also be the opportunity to meet some of our charity team, along with a shop hosting the charity’s products at discounted prices.

The Burning Nights CRPS Patient and Carer Information Day will remain a free event, with lunch and refreshments included.  A one-off or ongoing charity donation would be very much appreciated, however, due to the rising costs affecting us all across the UK. You can find the donation information towards the bottom of the page.

About Burning Nights and Complex Regional Pain Syndrome

Formed in 2014, Burning Nights CRPS Support is a UK-based charity that works to improve the quality of life of Complex Regional Pain Syndrome sufferers, while providing up-to-date information and dedicated support. The organisation has 3 key areas of focus – Education, Awareness and Support.

CRPS is a debilitating and painful condition that affects 1 in 4000 people each year, despite little being known about the illness. It can often start as the result of an injury and can affect anyone.

Burning Nights CRPS Support was founded by Victoria Abbot-Fleming, a sufferer of the condition who, upon her diagnosis, realised just how little was known about the illness.

In 2014, Victoria decided to begin her awareness-raising journey by starting a website dedicated to sharing vital information and resources about CRPS that could help support others in the UK and worldwide.

In 2020 – 2021 alone, Burning Nights CRPS Support provided over 240,000 people with clear and up-to-date information while holding over 1000 Support Groups and Online Events. Not only do they support long-term sufferers and their families, but Burning Nights also provide support, information and training sessions to Healthcare Professionals.
