As another Volunteers’ Week is underway, it’s another opportunity for us to celebrate the commitment and value of our intrepid troop.
A UK campaign that runs for a week from the first Monday each June, Volunteers’ Week is a chance to highlight the invaluable contributions made by volunteers across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
With Burning Nights CPRS Support pretty much wholly run by volunteers, including our CEO Victoria Abbott-Fleming, we’re certainly dependent on the myriad of contributions made by our team.
Giving nearly 8,800 hours of their time each year, our wonderful volunteers cover the range of roles in supporting, befriending and counselling through to informing, educating and engaging with our CRPS community. Not just for people with this condition but their families, friends and loved ones too. Our volunteers include those living with CRPS, whose experiences of living with the condition also help guide us along the way.
We’re always so grateful to all our volunteers for the efforts they put in for our CRPS community. Whether supporting us behind the scenes, leading conversations or holding space for others, our volunteers’ time, energy and compassion are truly valued.
As our team members are located across the UK, we’re putting on a virtual get-together and thank you for each and every one of them to mark this year’s Volunteers’ Week.
